Independents: Moser is more conventional design and so easier to like.

Especially if you are spending this kind of money, the easier to like design is probably the safer and wiser choice.

Independents: And probably 50% here would not recognize it either.

Officine Panerai: I owned a 176 almost 20 years ago now.

Not the sandwich dial at that time. My buddy owned a 40mm white dial PAM (don’t recall reference) around the same time or maybe a few years later. To me, the 176 is the choice here. I’m not a fan of these earlier white dials, with the exception of the PAM 225. The more modern white dialed PAMs look

Vacheron Constantin: Very cool, congrats.

Not my cup of tea, the Overseas broadly has not been a model I’ve been drawn too. But this one is definitely a special one, and I kinda like the idea of a sporty tourbillion. Will wait on some pictures from the trails/hiking with this one on the wrist !

Rolex: Was it you that posted a long time ago about buying one to wear and one to keep unworn/stickers on etc?

Or am I confusing you with someone else? In any event, it makes perfect sense to me for a collection to be brand new in box and unworn. We don’t see many people here do this, aside from various unsealed Patek showing up here and there, but I understand it completely. Can you explain more about the w
